One16 was created by Hardman & Hemming to offer a new service for customers who wanted a tailored suit that offered features they were used to with an ‘off the peg’,  such as contrast lining piping and embroidered collar meltons and at a price that was similar to a top notch high street suit.

A One16 made to measure suit is a one off tailored garment, manufactured to the highest standards that ensure the best possible quality and fit for the customer. Modern tailoring and manufacturing techniques allow us to add details, that are too time intensive to be done by hand on our bespoke suits, but are becoming increasingly desirable in a modern suit. Prices start from £985 for a two-piece suit with typical timescales for a finished suit being around 15 weeks.

So how does it work?

Cloth & Lining

Firstly, you choose the cloth and lining from the same range as our bespoke service, paying attention to not only how you want it to look but also when and where you might wear it.  Are you a commuter? Is it for that special occasion and it’s only going to leave the wardrobe twice a year?

Style

Being a made to measure service this is where you can really let your imagination run wild, don’t worry though our tailors are on hand to make sure you don’t do anything too ‘out there’.

With our style and detail books on hand to guide your through the process you can pick, not only, the main style of suit, but also the finer details from coloured cuff buttonhole stitching to extreme slanted pockets, you decide.

Measurements & cutting the suit

As with our bespoke service before we reach for the tape measure we take the time to talk about what look you want, how you see the fit and if there are any areas of the suit which have given you regular headaches in terms of fit.

Fittings

When your suit is ready, we will contact you to arrange your fitting. The suit is ready for you to wear and take away at this stage. Our experienced tailor will be looking to see if there are any final adjustments required.

Final fitting & collection

Once we have completed the fitting process and made any required changes we will contact you for delivery or collection.  The suit is then yours to take away and enjoy wearing.

After care

It is important to us that you are happy with your suit, so don’t feel like you can’t contact us, or pop in and see us once it’s been worn a few times. As we say the proof is in the wearing.

Buying a tailored suit is not something we all do every day, so we aim to ensure you enjoy the experience.
