Harris Tweed is the only fabric protected by an act of Parliament. The Harris Tweed Act 1993 “The Harris Tweed Authority is charged with the general duty of furthering the Harris Tweed industry as a means of livelihood for those who live in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.”

This jacket is another from our archives, donated to us, and is a classic example of a Harris Tweed. One welly in country rugged and one in formal dinner wear. This may have been worn by a gent to a formal dinner or a pish posh garden party.

Kept simple, two button single breasted with a single cuff button, and paired with a tie available online and a white shirt from our Off The Cuff range, this remains as fashionable today as it was many years ago.
